WINNIPEG, MANITOBA, CANADA — The inaugural Canadian Global Crops Symposium: Growing Demand, Assured Supply will be held April 14-16 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

“We are very excited to host an international event that will connect Canada’s grains, oilseeds and pulse crop supply chains with buyers and importers from around the globe,” said Richard Phillips, president of the Canada Grains Council.  “This event will showcase Canada’s growing capacity to export food and feed commodities.”

The Canadian Global Crops Symposium is being held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Canada Grains Council. Topics include innovation in Canadian crops, the global outlook for Canadian crops, grain transportation demand and logistics and panel discussions featuring leading Canadian grain exporters and grain producers.

“Canadian grain producers are stepping up investment and productivity through the adoption of new technologies to meet world market demand,” said Phillips. “End-use customers will also share their perspectives on why, as major importers of food and feed commodities, they prefer to do business with Canada.”

In addition to industry speakers, participants will have an opportunity to meet with the leaders of many of Canada’s largest agribusinesses and network with grain merchants representing Canada’s leading exporters. For more information or to register for the symposium, visit www.canadiancrops.ca.
