OMAHA, NEBRASKA, U.S. — The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) said Exchange 2014 was its biggest conference ever, setting records for attendees, booths and exhibitors.

The Exchange was Feb. 22-25 in Omaha, Nebraska, U.S. GEAPS said there were 3,379 attendees, beating the previous high of 2,727 set in 2012.

Next year’s event, planned Feb. 21-24 at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri, U.S., is already shaping up to be a large show. The main expo hall is already sold out for next year, and the annex is staring to fill up, GEAPS said.

During the President’s Banquet on Feb. 25, Mark Avery, publisher of Grain Journal, received the Corbett Award. The award is giving to associate members who have demonstrated extraordinary volunteer leadership.
