BRANDENBURG, KENTUCKY, U.S. — Consolidated Grain and Barge (CGB) announced recently that it has broken ground on a grain terminal on the Ohio River near Brandenburg, Kentucky, U.S.

The facility is the first tenant for the county’s new riverport. It will employ six workers and is expected to be operational before the harvest season.

“When complete, the site will offer CGB an increased presence and expanded draw territory in Kentucky that will complement the company’s current facilities in Jeffersonville, Indiana, U.S. and Louisville, Kentucky, U.S.,” CGB said.
