New leader for Minot Milling

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA, U.S. — Philadelphia Macaroni Company, an industrial pasta manufacturer, announced on Dec. 4, that Tim Dodd will become president of its flour milling division, Minot Milling. 

Minot Milling refines both durum and hard red spring wheat purchased from U.S. and Canadian farmers. Referring to the mill, Dodd said, “We’ll concentrate on building a team focused on improving efficiencies and lowering cost without sacrificing quality.”  

Luke Marano, Sr., chairman of Philadelphia Macaroni Company, acknowledged Dodd’s extensive experience in the milling business.  

“Tim is a star of the food industry and will be a tremendous asset to our commercial milling division.  We are very fortunate to bring him on board,” Marano said.

Dodd is the former president of Dakota Growers Pasta Company, a publicly traded corporation recently purchased by Post Holdings. Prior to joining Dakota Growers in 1991, Dodd was vice-president of manufacturing for American Italian Pasta Company of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, U.S., where he oversaw the construction and start-up operations of this integrated plant.  

He also oversaw the construction and operations management of Noodles by Leonardo in Cando, North Dakota, U.S., the first integrated durum and pasta facility in the U.S. Dodd is a graduate of Kansas State University, with a bachelor’s of science degree in milling science and management.
