ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA, U.S. — The USA Rice Millers’ Association (RMA) announced on July 13 that Mark Denman, RiceTec Inc., and Glenn Nevins, Anheuser-Busch/InBev, have been elected chairman and vice-chairman, respectively. Denman and Nevins will serve a two-year term that begins Aug. 1 and ends July 31, 2013.

On behalf of the board, Denman last month presented a plaque to outgoing RMA Chairman Bobby Hanks in recognition of his service and congratulated him on a job well done.

“Mr. Chairman, you have served the industry well during your time in office and we thank you for your dedication,” Denman said.

Denman, a native of Stuttgart, Arkansas, U.S., has been in the rice business for more than 32 years, 26 of them with RiceTec Inc., which is based in Alvin, Texas, U.S. He has served as a member of the USA Rice Council board of directors, and the USA Rice Federation Domestic Promotion Committee and he is chairman of the USA Rice Federation’s Domestic Promotion Retail Subcommittee.

Nevins is chairman of The Rice Foundation, the research and education arm of the U.S. rice industry. He serves on the boards of the USA Rice Council and the USA Rice Millers' Association, as well as on USA Rice Federation's Environmental Regulatory Subcommittee and other committees. He has been with Anheuser-Busch/InBev for 24 years.
