OMAHA, NEBRASKA, U.S. — Gavilon Grain, LLC dba Peavey Company announced on Aug. 30 that it has acquired a 5-million-bushel grain elevator in Cambridge, Wisconsin, U.S., from Vasby Farms, Inc. Gavilon will continue purchasing and storing grain from Dane County and surrounding area producers. All existing forward purchase and sales contracts will be honored by Gavilon.

"We are pleased to be expanding our presence in Dane County with the acquisition of a quality storage asset operated by Phil Vasby and Lowell Lund," said Gene Reibel, senior director of merchandising and operations of Gavilon Grain. "The Cambridge facility will complement our Waunakee and Mt. Horeb operations, and enable Gavilon to provide area producers increased storage flexibility and greater handling efficiencies."

The Cambridge facility will be managed by Larry Kippley, Gavilon’s facility manager at Waunakee.
