PARIS, FRANCE – This year’s JTIC International Milling and Cereal Industries Meeting will include two conference rooms with parallel events and an increase in conference themes from four to six.

The 68th event is Nov. 8-9 at the Event Center, Porte de la Villette, Paris, France. Themes include:

  • Tomorrow’s agroecology and grain quality by the INRA - the French national institute for agricultural research (Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique).
  • Understanding the new generations and their relationship to work.
  • Decoding consumer expectations by the ANMF – the French national association for French milling (Association nationale de la meunerie française).
  • Harvest 2017: How to characterize and work with grains by the grain industries platform ARVALIS - Institut du vegetal.
  • Insect control, industries in search of sustainable solutions
  • Bread, wine, beer, cheese: all forms of fermentation by the CEBP – the Bakery and Confectionary Research Centre (Centre d’études de la boulangerie-pâtisserie).

The Association of Former Students of the Cereal Trade and Industry Schools (AEMIC), the event organizer, said it wants to highlight the solutions and technical and scientific innovations developed for the cereal industries. Several initiatives have been brought together under a single banner: the JTIC LAB.

The two main themes of the LAB are technical Solutions sessions, which allow providers to demonstrate their expertise and present their new products in 15-minute slots and a technical and scientific innovations space. This will include research work and new products for the cereal industries via exhibition and on-screen.

In addition to the conferences, the JTIC offers an exhibition space for suppliers of equipment, services and ingredients aimed at cereal industry manufacturers. This year it will run continuously with no lunch break.
