Ocrim hosts event for food and milling industries
Ocrim SpA, Cremona, Italy, hosted “Wheat, Flour, And…7th Edition” in Cortona, Tuscany, Italy. The event brought millers from across the world. Ocrim highlighted technology for the food and milling industry and its new business relationship with Bonifiche Ferraresi, an agriculture company focused on sustainable Italian agriculture. 
Australian Grains Industry Conference 2017
Nearly 900 delegates and 100 international guests gathered Aug. 2-3 in Melbourne for the annual Australian Grains Industry Conference (AGIC). The event included a trade show and educational sessions that focused on topics such as supply chain efficiency, capturing Asian market opportunities. and emerging technology that helps to create more efficiency and understanding of consumer demands.
2017 Sosland Purchasing Seminar photo highlights
The 40th annual Purchasing Seminar, sponsored by Milling & Baking News, World Grain’s sister publication, and Sosland Publishing Company, was held in Kansas City June 4-6. Global Millers Symposium

Top Stories of 2016
It was another year of record grain harvests, ample supplies and low prices. Shocking election results – namely the vote by Britain to leave the European Union and the election of Donald Trump as U.S. president – reflected a growing surge in nationalism and protectionism that could have a significant impact on the global grain industry in years to come. Russia flexed its muscles as a wheat exporter and Turkey continued to dominate the world flour trade, which reached record heights. Here is a look at some of the top stories that impacted the global grain and grain processing industries in 2016. 
For the first time, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Africa's unofficial capital, hosted the International Association of Operative Millers (IAOM) Mideast and Africa (MEA) Conference and Expo, Oct. 24-27, at Millennium Hall. The 27th rendition of the event, drew more than 500 participants from 46 countries for exchanges of market and technical information both in educational forums and on the trade show floor, which featured 92 exhibitors from 22 countries.
Highlights from the AACC International meeting
More than 1,000 individuals from industry, academia and government were at the American Association of Cereal Chemists International’s annual meeting held Oct. 23-26 at the Westin Hotel and Conference Center in Savannah, Georgia.

Highlights from Bühler Networking Days
Around 750 leaders from industry and science took part in the Bühler Networking Days held Aug. 22-24 in Uzwil, Switzerland. During the three-day event, top speakers from both the industry and science fields engaged with Bühler experts and other participants – with the key question of how to feed nine billion people healthily and sustainably. 
IFT 2016
The IFT conference and expo from July 16-19 at the McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinos, U.S., brought together food industry professionals from all over the U.S. and abroad.
