Union Iron Works' temporary grain containment system can be set up in any available space and is easily disassembled for storage and future reuse. The storage system is composed of 10-foot-long modular panels on galvanized iron support legs that form a rectangle frame in which grain can be placed. The modular design allows the system to be installed on slightly uneven surfaces with minimal site preparation. The cost of the system ranges from (U.S.) 4 cents to 25 cents per bushel. The unit can usually be shipped on one truck. Union Iron Works, based in Decatur, Illinois, U.S., also provides aeration systems, tarps, towers and conveying components.
