Over the years, corrugated steel silos have often been recognized as the best solution to store grain. Prive S.A., Chalons-en-Champagne, France, has been studying, manufacturing and erecting corrugated steel silos for agriculture and related industries for more than 30 years and offers a complete range of sizes from 20 to 20,000 cubic meters.

Prive bins are "built for life." Clients are able to soon recover capital costs, and the bins are quickly erected.

When developing a new grain storage and handling system for a client, Prive addresses such issues as investment and operating costs, erection time, grain quality, versatility (to store several different crops) and the health and safety of workers. Prive grain storage systems help clients control aeration, grain classification, origin of stored grain, dust control, pest control, explosion risks and more.

Wide corrugated metal sheets reduce erection time and require fewer bolts. Bin roofs are equipped with a manhole, thermal probe supports, aerators and a catwalk. Aeration channels in Prive bins are located in the floor of the bin and covered with perforated steel panels to allow the best airflow. The channel formation is calculated for each size of bin and in consideration of the product to be stored.

In 1999, the Société Coopérative Agricole de l’Eure et Loir (SCAEL), one of the largest French grain cooperatives, chose Prive to supply its new silo facility in Chartres. Prive manufactured 10 silos for SCAEL, each measuring over 28 meters in diameter, with a total capacity of 72,000 tonnes.

Experience and quality explain the choice of Prive silos by storage professionals in France and abroad. Prive has offices in Europe, the Americas and Asia.
