Codema, Inc. will celebrate its 33rd anniversary in 2003, after carrying out more than three decades of service to the grain processing, flour milling and bulk handling industries. From its humble beginnings in a basement in suburban Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S., Codema’s continued success speaks highly of the ongoing ingenuity and dedication of its employees.

Founded by Heinz Baecker in 1970, the company has grown steadily from a one-man consulting and design business into an international corporation serving a variety of industries throughout the world from its office and manufacturing complex in Maple Grove, Minnesota, U.S. The company’s core strength remains in designing and delivering processing systems that meet and exceed customer expectations for functionality, flexibility and economy.

Originally supplying design and layout services for flour milling clients, Codema began developing, manufacturing and marketing its own line of processing equipment in the early 1980s and has since diversified into areas such as bulk

handling, large-scale grain cleaning, laboratory equipment, ship loading/unloading, as well as a strong commitment to packaging systems.

Throughout its 33 years, Codema’s clients have always benefited from its flexibility. By not limiting itself to one line or brand of equipment, Codema has been able to tap a multitude of resources, including its own manufacturing abilities. This, along with continued staff growth and product diversification, has proven to be a solid partner for its well established engineering and consulting business. Codema’s philosophy is a valuable asset for clients wanting to quickly expand, modify or add production lines to their facilities in order to take advantage of changing market demands.
