The new RotaMax scalper from GSI Grain Systems, Assumption, Illinois, U.S., is a low-profile scalper that uses a sweeping action to process high volumes of grain. As grain enters the scalper, an arm spreads the material over the screen deck to allow separation. Screened material drops to the lower hopper while oversized material remains on the screen deck and is continually moved further out, until the impeller arms finally deposits them into the trash chute. Capacities range up to 1,500 tonnes per hour, with no vibration, standard internal bypass, standard urethane lining, horizontal screen deck and an aspiration option.
