The free-standing leg and support towers from Brownie Systems, Waverly, Nebraska, U.S., are manufactured in a prefabricated, bolt-together design for economical shipping. In approximately one day, four men using a crane can erect an 80-foot tower. The towers are strength-staged to withstand winds up to 90 mph; tower reactions are available upon request. Brownie supplies all hardware necessary for the towers, which have tubular steel construction and a standard powdercoat finish. Brownie also manufactures heavy-duty spiral and switchback stairs with safety-grip steps and landings. Switchback stair systems ascend one face of the tower and have 42-inch-high handrails. The stairs' top landing allows access to service platforms and tower-side walkways are available.
