International Grains Trade Conference

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, U.S. — Chicago will host the International Grains Trading Conference on May 21-22, 2002. The two-day conference, featuring a host of expert speakers, will explore current issues in international trade and trade finance and has been jointly organized by the Grain and Feed Trade Association (GAFTA) and Richards Butler, the internationally reputed law firm.

The conference will provide a general overview of the current trading and legal issues, comparing both U.S. and English laws relating to key trading issues.

The conference will be of interest to traders of soft commodities, to those involved in trading futures and options, and to those financing international trade, insurance and shipping. Topics to be covered at the conference include contract formulation, international sale of goods, financing of trade, shipping, and trade policy issues including WTO and GMOs.
