Hungarian milling company acquires four Slovakia mills

BUDAPEST, HUNGARY — The Hungary-based milling company Szabolcs Gabona Holding Rt has bought four mills and a grain silo in Kosice, Slovakia, a company executive told MTI Econews in mid-August. It was reported the sale included two wheat mills, one rye mill and one maize mill with daily milling capacity between 170 and 240 tonnes each, and a 53,000-tonne-capacity silo. Szabolcs Gabona operates milling, baking and livestock farming subsidiaries in Romania, Ukraine and Serbia-Montenegro. The company source projected revenues of HUF 30 bln (U.S.$130 mln) this year.
