NOTTINGHAM, U.K. — DSL Systems has been awarded the contract to provide the complete control system for the new feed production research facility currently being built at the Sutton Bonnington Campus of Nottingham University.

The plant will have two separate production lines using Amandus Kahl pellet presses and is being built by Site Installation Services and Alfatek Partnership.

DSL will supply its advanced AutoPilot4Feed control system designed for feed mills. It provides rapid start up of the pellet presses, which is important with short production runs. AutoPilot4Feed is simple and intuitive to use and will suit a research environment with many different personnel, DSL said, noting that the system will provide quality, accuracy and traceability to the facility.

The AutoPilot4Feed system has been proven in more than 65 installations and has successfully been used to control Kahl pellet presses and expanders.
