The VSH 2096 huller from Codema, Maple Grove, Minnesota, U.S., has been successfully used in oat and sunflower processing plants for high-quality, cost-effective hulling. Each unit takes up only 8 square feet (.7 sq. m) of floor space and has capacities up to 4,500 lbs. per hour. The heavy welded-steel housing is rugged, reliable and sanitary. Features include a specially designed impeller for higher efficiency and more uniform hulling; a direct-drive motor that requires less maintenance and energy; and electronic speed control to fine-tune the hulling action.
