BJUV, SWEDEN — BMH Marine AB, a manufacturer of ship loading and unloading equipment for the grain industry, has secured an order for the design, supply and installation of materials handling equipment for a new grain terminal facility in Gdansk, Poland, owned by Europort Inc. Poland Sp. zo.o.

Conveying and handling capacity will be 1,200 tonnes per hour. The contract also includes electrical installation and process control systems for the terminal.

The materials handling equipment will include gantry conveyors, weighing tower, conveyors for a 70,000-tonne fodder building and a 50,000-tonne silo facility, as well as conveyors and machinery for receiving and dispatch of trucks and rail cars. Steel buildings and conveyor galleries also are included in the turnkey project, BMH Marine said.

Earlier this year, BMH Marine announced it would provide a combined ship loader/unloader for the Gdansk project, capable of handling ships of 130,000 dwt (see World Grain, January 1999, Page 60).
