BMH Chronos Richardson, Nottingham, U.K., recently received U.K. Weights and Measures approval for its A100 automatic gross bagging weigher. It is the 10th international approval for the weigher. The A100 replaces the company's H17 bagging scale and offers increased bagging throughputs on a wider range of material types. At the start of the filling cycle, an empty bag is placed on the bag clamp, and operation of the filling lever initiates the automatic filling process. Once the target weight is achieved, the bag is released onto the sealing conveyor. The weigh beam and weight box, coupled with a material in-flight compensation system, ensure optimum weighing accuracy. The versatile weigher is available with five different feeder types.
